Sexual Function & Performance

Specialist Care for Men’s Sexual Function and Performance

Beyond erectile dysfunction and enhancement, a range of conditions can affect men’s sexual function, performance and confidence, from Peyronie’s disease and premature ejaculation to low testosterone and recovery after prostate cancer treatment.

Dr Ross Calopedos assesses each condition individually and explains the evidence-based options clearly, so you can make an informed decision. Many of these concerns are common, treatable, and well worth addressing.

Peyronie’s Disease and Penile Curvature

Peyronie’s disease is a common condition in which scar tissue (plaque) forms within the penis, causing curvature, indentation, narrowing, shortening or pain, and often making intercourse difficult. It frequently occurs alongside erectile dysfunction. Dr Ross offers the full range of Peyronie’s disease treatment, from non-surgical injection therapy through to surgery and penile implant surgery where both curvature and ED need treating together.

Whether the answer is a non-surgical treatment, a procedure, hormonal optimisation or simply reassurance and a plan, the goal is the same: restoring confidence and quality of life.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can Peyronie’s Disease Be Treated Without Surgery?

In many cases, yes. For suitable men, Dr Ross offers ultrasound-guided intralesional injection therapy (hyaluronic acid or verapamil) combined with traction, which can reduce curvature and improve comfort. Surgery, including penile implant surgery, remains the more definitive option in advanced disease or where ED also needs treating.

What Treatments Are Available for Premature Ejaculation?

Premature ejaculation is common and treatable. Options range from behavioural techniques and medications through to, in selected cases, glans enhancement to modulate sensitivity. Dr Ross will assess the likely cause and recommend the most appropriate approach.

What Are the Signs of Low Testosterone, and How Is It Treated?

Low testosterone can cause reduced libido, fatigue, mood changes and erectile difficulties. Diagnosis is based on symptoms plus repeated blood tests. Treatment may include replacement therapy or approaches that support the body’s own production, alongside addressing reversible factors.

Do You Help Men Recover Sexual Function After Prostate Cancer?

Yes. Dr Ross offers a structured penile rehabilitation pathway, working alongside your treating team, to support recovery of erectile function, with surgical options available where needed.
