Length Enhancement

A Realistic, Anatomy-Led Approach to Length

Concerns about penile length are common, and a great deal of misleading information exists online. Dr Ross Calopedos takes an honest, anatomy-led approach, explaining what can realistically be achieved, and focusing on the flaccid length and presentation that most men are actually concerned about.

As a reconstructive urologist, Dr Ross prioritises function and safety. He does not perform suspensory ligament division for cosmetic lengthening; his own published research highlighted the biomechanical risks of dividing this ligament, including instability and reduced function.

Improving Flaccid Length and Reducing Retraction

For many men, the real concern is not erect length but a short or retracted flaccid appearance, the “turtling” that occurs in cold conditions, at the gym or in the change room. The DART Technique (Dynamic Anti-Retraction Treatment) uses botulinum toxin to relax the dartos and pelvic floor muscles responsible for this retraction, allowing the penis to rest in a more natural, relaxed flaccid state.

Volume, Contour and Proportion

Non-surgical girth enhancement with UroFill® can also improve flaccid length and hang as part of a staged treatment plan, and many men report a fuller, longer-looking flaccid state. Glans augmentation can improve proportion between the head and shaft, which can enhance the overall appearance of length.

These treatments are often combined and staged to suit your anatomy and goals.

Length After Erectile Dysfunction or Implant Surgery

Long-standing erectile dysfunction can cause loss of length and girth through atrophy and fibrosis. Where appropriate, penile rehabilitation, tissue-preserving implant surgery and careful sizing can help restore functional length and prevent further loss. Dr Ross will assess your individual situation and explain what is achievable.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can Length Be Increased Without Surgery?

There is no proven non-surgical way to substantially increase erect length. However, flaccid length and presentation can often be improved by reducing involuntary retraction (DART Technique) and adding volume and contour with UroFill® and glans augmentation. Dr Ross will give you an honest assessment of what is realistic for you.

Does Dr Ross Perform Ligament-Cutting Lengthening Surgery?

No. Dr Ross does not perform suspensory ligament division for cosmetic lengthening. His published research highlighted the biomechanical risks of dividing this ligament, including instability, pain and functional problems. His focus is on safe, function-preserving approaches.
